IAUC ACTION ALERT
From: Jerry Lally, National Political Action Chair
Irish American Unity Conference
Recently, the State Department has denied Sinn Fein's
Martin McGuinness the ability to fundraise while in the
U.S. Members are asked to protest this decision by
contacting their elected representatives, Mitchell Reiss,
and the media.
We need you to send letters, e-mails, and call officials.
Point out that our government has routinely allowed Sinn
Fein representatives to fundraise on past trips to the US
and that it is absurd to prevent them from doing so now
that the IRA has taken the final step in putting their
weapons beyond use.
If our government wants to advance the peace process, it
should reverse this decision on fundraising immediately.
