News 11/03/04 - After Election Action Alert
Now that the elections are over and the results are in, we must
focus and re-energize our efforts to highlight the issues that are
so important to the peace process in Ireland, the deportees and
Irish visitors in the United States and work against Senate
ratification of the US/UK Extradition treaty.
There will be many new faces in the House and Senate that we should
reach out to. The newly elected will take office in January, so we
should introduce ourselves, educate and keep them updated on our
issues.
It is reported that there may be changes in the White House cabinet
as well.
As for Ciaran Ferry, John McNicholl and Malachy McAllister's
plight, the cases are still in the courts and it appears that they
will be for awhile. We need to organize support in the House and
Senate now more than ever.
Colorado just elected a new Senator, Ken Salazar (D), that
hopefully will help with Ciaran's situation after we educate him on
the situation.
Letters explaining the case & congratulating him on his election
may be directed to:

Represenative Bob Beauprez (R) who recently lent support to Ciaran
during his recent hearing, has just been re-elected for another
term.
Please send letters of thanks and congratulations to:
